A fly-in pike fishing outpost lake and a top muskie lake on the same trip! This is ever a memorable trip for us. Really a trip of a lifetime for the european esox angler!
This adventure trip usually start with some days in a outpost lake for pike. We arrive at our camp with float plane or boats, depend of the lake we fish. In the most of the ouposts we have the entire lake all to ourself!
After some days of intensive and usually very productive pike fishing we move to the musky camp in some of the best musky waters of Canada like Indian Chain lakes, the mighty Lake of The Woods or the beautiful crystal clear water of Crow/Kakagi Lake. Indian is a “number lake”, LOTW is a trophy lake but we’ve found a big number of muskies also. Crow Lake is a excellent lake for opening musky fishing weeks in june, and for the mid summer full moon time. When we are in Crow lake we can fish also the Lake of the Woods from the same camp and few other portage lakes for northerns! Boats are usually top 17-18 foot aluminium boats with 40-50 hp tiller motors, trolling motor, sonar/gps, radio, casting deck and swivel seats.
I’m focused on those muskie lakes because they are great muskie waters and I know well those waters and best camps. But we could easily fish other great lakes of the area like Eagle, Wabigoon, Cedar etc…
If you wish to fish only pike or only muskies on this trip, there are no problem.
